Bryan Ferry Returns with First Original Music in Over a Decade: "Star"
Bryan Ferry has unveiled "Star," his first original track in over a decade, set to feature on his forthcoming album Retrospective: Selected Recordings 1973-2023. This 81-track collection celebrates Ferry’s illustrious career, covering over 50 years of music and 16 solo albums, and brings fans up to date with his latest work.
"Star" originated as a sketch by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross of Nine Inch Nails and was further developed by Ferry and Amelia Barratt. The result is an intense, darkly shimmering piece that blends pounding post-techno with Ferry's unmistakable artistry. The song also features a captivating duet between Ferry and Barratt, blurring the lines between art, music, and poetry.
The release is accompanied by a visually striking music video, filmed by Bryan Ferry and James Garzke, and starring Amelia Barratt. Watch the video here.
