Recurrence to Drop Remix Album ReExit (The Mixtape) for 1-Year Anniversary of The Exit
The unstoppable force of melodic death metal, Recurrence, is set to release their highly anticipated remix album, ReExit (The Mixtape), on September 23, 2024—marking the one-year anniversary of their debut album, The Exit.
When asked why they decided to release a remix album, frontman The Antidote explained, "While our fans wait for the upcoming album Art of Survival, we wanted to do something special for the anniversary of The Exit. I’ve always been a fan of underground hip-hop and rap mixtapes, remixes, and chopped & screwed tracks, so we thought it would be fun to bring that vibe into our music. ReExit (The Mixtape) features a mix of remixes from The Exit, including some 8-bit, 'video game' style versions of our songs."
In addition to remixes of their hit singles, ReExit (The Mixtape) will include some unique and rare tracks. "We also wanted to include instrumentals and medleys to give fans a fresh perspective on our songs—and maybe even inspire some vocal covers," says The Antidote. "Plus, we’ve dug up some tracks from our early demos and EPs from 2011 and 2012 that are nearly impossible to find. It’s a way to show our growth and evolution over the years and bring back some memories of the early days."
ReExit (The Mixtape) is sure to provide fans with exciting remixes and rarities while they wait for Recurrence’s next chapter, the upcoming studio album Art of Survival, which promises to deliver just as much fire and intensity as ever.
