Cut The Kids In Half Announce Debut Album What We Became and Release First Single “Song of Two Humans”

Boston-by-way-of-Rahway, NJ rock outfit Cut The Kids In Half is thrilled to announce their debut album, What We Became, set for release on January 31. Leading the charge is the album’s heartfelt first single, “Song of Two Humans”, an emotionally charged track blending brightly toned guitars with introspective lyricism.

The single arrives alongside an official music video, now streaming on YouTube, which features brothers Charlie and Jack Silver (18 and 19, respectively) alongside longtime drummer Luke Tan. Shot in their current home base of Boston, MA, the video captures the band’s artistic vision as vulnerability meets captivating melodies.

“I wrote the first lines after a strained conversation with an old friend, and somewhere along the way, it became about a relationship,” says vocalist and lyricist Jack Silver. “It’s about what it’s like when you discover everything about someone, and one day you realize you don’t like what you’ve found. One day you’re together, the next you’re in each other’s way.”

Named after Radiohead’s “Morning Bell,” Cut The Kids In Half has earned their stripes the old-fashioned way—by playing countless gigs on their local scene. With “Song of Two Humans,” the band showcases their ambition, where raw emotion collides with irresistible riffs.

Stay tuned for the release of What We Became on January 31 and stream “Song of Two Humans” now on YouTube and your favorite platforms.
