NOAH CYRUS ROCKS PARADISE IN BOSTON
Noah Cyrus brought “The Hardest Part” Tour to a sold-out crowd at Boston’s Paradise Rock Club on October 22. Following along on the tour to open her shows was Gigi.
Fans eagerly entered and quickly filled up the venue right before Gigi’s opening set. As the singer came on, the crowd cheered with excitement for her music. Playing her acoustic guitar for the whole set, Gigi’s music warmed up the crowd and had them feeling her music. She definitely connected with the audience during her performance, telling them that they’ll definitely know some of her songs “if [they’re] gay.” In addition, the entire crowd put up their phone flashlights during the middle of her set, before she ended her performance with “Chemistry” and thanked Boston.
Once the lights dimmed, the crowd eagerly shouted with anticipation as each member of Noah Cyrus’s band came out one by one, until they erupted as she took the stage. She started off the night with favorites that the crowd very obviously knew by heart, as they sang every single word back to her. She told the audience that she got the chance to perform “Cowboy Take Me Away” by The Chicks the weekend prior at the ACL Festival and that she was performing it this night for the 2nd time, which she performed beautifully. After a few more songs, she gave a shout-out to her opener Gigi, who could be seen jumping around at the merch table during Noah’s entire set. The later part of her set was definitely more intimate, as she let the crowd in on her connections to some of her songs, dedicating them to her friend XXXTentacion who passed away in June 2018, as well as both her grandmothers who she lost within the past 2 years. Overall, the night was filled with all the music and emotions you could be searching for, so if you have the opportunity to go see one of her shows you definitely don’t want to miss it.
