ASIN9NE TOUR
Kansas City’s Tech N9ne returned to The Palladium this past weekend. THE ASIN9NE TOUR hit the Worcester, MA venue with guests ¡Mayday!, X Raided, and Joey Cool on Friday and, just like every other time he comes through, it was like a big family reunion! When you go to a Tech show, you can expect to have one of the best nights of your life and that’s just a cold hard fact. It is a non stop party, with banger after banger! The crowd is always full of moshers, stompers, riot makers, women on the shoulders of their dudes for that one song — if you know, you know. If you don’t, well… I guess you’ll have to get to a show and find out!

To kick off the night, Joey Cool busted out from backstage and played to the already half packed Palladium. He performs with an unwavering confidence that compares to no other. Which is exactly how he caught the attention of Tech’s label Strange Music Inc. He gave us tracks off of albums I Tried To Be Normal Once (2021), Coolie High (2020), Joey Cool (2018), and more. His energy on stage radiated into the fans and back at him, making for one hell of a show!
Setlist: The Chairman, Under Pressure, Way Down, Jumpin, Poisoned, Protect This Energy, Out There, and Whisky of the Day.
Up next to rock the mic, Sacramento’s very own X-Raided! This freshly signed Strange Music member came out ready to party in his cool blue sweatsuit and silver chains. The crowd welcomed this new comer like he was family and you could tell he was just genuinely happy to be on that stage. The rapper gave us a couple of his best tracks and then disappeared off stage only to return wielding a machete and Jason Voorhees mask for track Witta Mask On off of his 1996 album X-orcist. He came prepared to mix up his setlist every night with a lengthy discography, most recently consisting of Bloc Star Evolution and Family Matters both released in 2021.
Gearing up to blow the roof off the Worcester venue, ¡MayDay! This hiphop group from Miami, FL never disappoints! They truly put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen tons. They’ve got a unique sound that seamlessly blends together as NonMS (Andrews Mujica) handles percussion while rappers Bernz (Bernardo Garcia) and Wrekonize (Ben Miller) lay down some smooth and intense vocals. Although the group falls under the hip hop/rock genre, they bring a little reggae to the mix as well and it just works flawlessly. You could feel the energy in the room growing as the crowd hyped up the band and they returned the favor!
Now it was time for Kansas City’s G.O.A.T, TECH N9NE! Technicians screaming and cheering for the KC rapper to unleash his talents. Worcester Palladium is a home away from home for the artist and every time he’s there, it’s like a huge family reunion. Fans from all walks of life flood the venue and jam together as Tech plays an impressive 40 song set! As the crowd went crazy, he repeatedly expressed his appreciation for everyone, “HIT AFTER HIT BECAUSE OF YOU!” and going into another absolute banger! I know I’ve said it before but everyone should experience a Tech show at least once in their life, it’s a one of a kind experience. The way that a single human can hype up a 2000+ crowd all on their own is absolutely mind blowing. He manages to get everybody singing and dancing and moshing and even just included! It’s insane in the best way. Of course he does have the help of some majorly impressive supporting acts from the Strange Music Inc family. On his own or with family behind him (and in the crowd), Tech N9ne puts on an unforgettable, unbeatable performance. This show is a MUST see!
