The Wrong Party Tour

On a hot, humid summer night, Fitz and The tantrums brought their Wrong Party Tour to Boston’s Leader Bank Pavilion in the seaport district. Special Guests Andy Grammar and Breland came along for the ride as well. Despite the name of this tour, it’s exactly the party you want to be at! Between the stage sets and the performances, it is truly an unforgettable experience.

To kick off the night we had Self-Proclaimed “Cross-Country” artist Breland from New Jersey. What is Cross-Country exactly? Well, we’re not talking about the sport. Cross-Country is a blend of Country Rap, R&B, gospel, and Soul Music. It’s chaotic in the best way, to put it simply. It is also the title of his debut album, which is being released 09/09/22. Daniel (Breland) Came out swinging, ready to take on the packed pavilion. Now he wasn’t too sure what to expect from the crowd, but they passed the vibe check. With his 30-minute set, He and the band really riled up the crowd. People were dancing along and just having a rad time.

Next up was 2014’s Billboard Hot 100 artist, Andy Grammer. He started the set with Damn It Feels Good To be Me and then kicked it up a notch with hit songs such as Honey Im Good and Keep Your Head Up. Andy would later be joined by Michael Fitzpatrick of Fitz and The Tantrums for their single wrong Party. Grammar also slowed it down a little and gave us an emotional rendition of Saved my life. This song is dedicated to his mother’s best friend who has been there for Grammar every step of the way since his mother’s passing. It hit close to home for many in the packed Boston venue that night.

You better break out your dancing shoes, it’s time for Fitz and The Tantrums! This band consists Michael Fitzpatrick (lead vocals and keyboards), Noelle Scaggs (co-lead vocals and percussion,) James King (saxophones, flute, harmonica, keyboards, percussion and guitar), Joseph Karnes (bass), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards), and John Wicks (drums and percussion). That is quite the Impressive lineup! Now, these talented folks gave us a 60-minute set full of pure energy. It included some of their earlier hits as well as newer tracks, such as Handclap and Sway. The way that Fitzpatrick and Scaggs interact with each other is absolutely mesmerizing. Both their moves and vocals are perfectly in sync. It is truly incredible seeing these guys perform and everyone in attendance is sure to get more than their moneys worth!
